Maltodextrin is a versatile ingredient. It can be used in food and at the same time has valuable properties for the skin. It can moisturize, improve texture and reduce skin shine. The ingredient can therefore be found in a variety of cosmetic products, such as moisturizers, serums, masks, make-up, sunscreens or hair care products. The INCI name is also maltodextrin .

Maltodextrin is a white, odorless powder that is made from starch. It is usually obtained from corn, rice or potatoes.

• Moisturizing: Maltodextrin can bind moisture and thus provide the skin with moisture.
• Texture-improving: It gives cosmetic products a pleasant, light texture and improves spreadability.
• Mattifying: Maltodextrin can absorb excess skin shine and thus provide a matte finish.
