Sensitive skin on the body: what to do if you have a detergent allergy?
Posted by Lara Schimweg on
Do you have skin irritation from fragrances in the detergent? 😎
Unfortunately, allergy sufferers in particular have major problems with this topic. 🤯So if you have permanent red spots on your neck, chest or anywhere else on your body, then take a look at your laundry detergent.
Which detergent is suitable for allergy sufferers?
If your detergent contains irritating fragrances, the reddening of the skin may be caused by a contact allergy. Especially natural detergents often contain natural fragrances: allergenic essential oils , which can often trigger allergic reactions on the skin.
Our tip for detergent allergies
Get a fragrance-free laundry detergent. There are now alternatives. And maybe then hopefully the reddened skin will be gone. 😌
And if your skin has not (yet) reacted to the scent in the detergent: be aware that contact allergies can arise at any time. Unfortunately 😒
So weigh up what is more important to you. Scented laundry or allergy prevention.
You can also spray a bit of perfume in your hair because you wash it out in the evening 😊
Please decide that for yourself. ☺️
