Aloe vera naturally contains several anti-inflammatory active ingredients, such as salicylates, polysaccharides, magnesium lactate and C-glucosylchromone. Aloe vera moisturizes and has an antibacterial effect and can support wound healing. In skin care, it can be used pure as aloe vera gel or incorporated into skin care products as a juice or extract.

Aloe Vera as food

Taken internally as a juice, aloe vera is said to help with digestive problems and to strengthen the immune system and reduce inflammation. However, taking high doses or long-term use is not recommended or should only be done in consultation with a doctor.
