What is rosacea or couperose?
Rosacea is a skin condition with reddening of the face, often with inflammatory papules and pustules (do n't express these). Sometimes it is also spelled "rosacea" with a "c". Other names are couperose or the German terms Kupferrose , Kupferfinne or Rotfinne .
Rosacea is often confused with acne. In addition to outdated names such as "acne rosacea" or "copper acne" , the two skin diseases have nothing to do with each other. However, the two skin diseases can also occur at the same time. If you are not sure whether you have couperose or rosacea, talk to your dermatologist.
